Job Description

Expectations for Contract Drivers:

 

  • Coming to work on time
    • Arriving on time is defined as being at Grubb’s by 9:00am daily to ensure proper preparation of your deliveries.
    • Notify management of any absences / tardiness via the supervisor extension 146.
    • For instances of absences, arriving late or issues that arise while delivering, you are to work with your fellow drivers to find coverage / assistance with getting the deliveries done on time. Additionally, you are to notify management.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times.
    • Professional communication with customers, facilities, colleagues, management and others you come in contact with.
    • Professional appearance while working must reflect Grubb’s Pharmacy standards. You must wear your name badge while delivering for Grubb’s. Clothing must be neat and odor free; pants must be at or above the waist. If you are given a Grubb’s issued uniform, you should wear it while performing your duties.
    • Personal cell phones should not be used while physically delivering to patients and facilities
    • Profanity should not be used while at Grubb’s or while delivering for Grubb’s
    • When attempting to make an initial delivery or a re-delivery, it is essential that you call and knock on the patient’s door. This rule also applies when picking up prescriptions.
    • Car radios must be at a level only you can hear within your car, especially when parked in front of a customer’s home, facility, and at Grubb’s Pharmacy
  • Follow all traffic laws
  • Responsible for all tickets/ fines received
  • Responsible for paying and maintaining insurance
  • Notify Grubb’s immediately if there is a change in your driving status (e.g.  license revoked, insurance lapse)
  • Responsible for $50 bank you receive. The $50 bank must be returned on your last day, if/when your contract with Grubb’s Pharmacy is over.
  • Collections are to be turned in at the end of each run or by the next business day
  • Turn in all manifests / paperwork by the next business day
  • Report demographic information/changes to the dispatcher.
  • Follow and maintain HIPAA, FWA and OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Reporting immediately to management if any issues arise that will cause delivery delays:
    • Excessive traffic
    • Car troubles
    • Accidents
